I believe tonight was the biggest injustice I have ever seen. I am from Australia and have not heard or read all the speculation about Adam, his sexuality or anything. What I did do, was watch AI for the first time ever. It seemed pretty much like our own one except for one thing, Adam Lambert. From his version of Satisfaction to his very last performance he was simply brilliant. I was in awe of his performance each week and looked forward to him alone, wondering what he would sing, how would he look? After the previous night’s performance I, and all the people watching with me, knew Adam would win handsdown, I’m sorry but Kris but is honestly only just a slightly better than average singer, He struggled hopelessly with the winners song. I felt quite sorry for him at the way he was straining. I just wanted it to end for him. I can’t believe that it seems now that this wasn’t a singing competition at all. It was a competiton at who was the most wholesome all american boy. Who cares what the person looks like or what he does away from singing? Shouldn’t it be about who has the best voice? And Adam was clearly the Winner! I hope Adam does way better. Whatever cd he releases, I will definately buy. And now I feel so disappointed that I watched this show for five months only to see such a pathetic outcome. I don’t think I’d ever watch it again. ADAM YOU WERE REALLY THE WINNER.
No he wasn't… For someone who watched the show… You apparently don't get what it is? Its america… so its more a pretty boy popularity contest duh?
I Wanted Adma to Win I Liked Kris But He Just Wansnt Up To Adam's Standard . But He WOn Soo .. I Dont Know.. But I Love Adam His Voice Was Exhillerating . I Loved EveryTime I Heard Him Perform x
Hi there! I'm a mother and a devout Christian, too! As viewer, I recognize that American Idol is a singing talent contest open to all, regardless of orientation or religion. It is not supposed to be a popularity contest for a certain class of persons. Among all of Season 8's contenders, Adam Lambert is the amazing artist and the best singer, gifted with a powerful voice. America's vote for Kris, or its vote against Adam, seems to be a contemptuous hate vote against that portion of America that Adam stands for. ADAM LAMBERT DESERVED TO WIN. Even Kris Allen himself knows this in his Christian heart, so much so that as soon as he was unexpectedly handed the undeserved crown, he openly admitted in public that "Adam deserves this…" — righteously adhering to glaring truth and instinctively repudiating ridiculous vote results that were surely no act of God. Adam Lambert is the true winner!
I am a huge Idol fan, both American and Canadian.. I was so excited to watch Adam perform his magic every week, and so looking forward to him winning. Even though he didn;t win, I believe in my heart he is the true winner. He is free to fly. Amazing talent, and such a nice guy…
kris is perfect! he does not go over the top. he truly deserved the title. both of them are good persons but kris is the more idol type of person than adam.
hey, guess what… no boundaries by kris is number #1 now in itunes. heartless is number #3 and adam's version of no boundaries is number #25. go kris! not only america loves and idolizes you but also the world.
For a "Christian" why all the hate?
Hey this is good stuff. So glad you posted this. I enjoy reading blogs like this. Anna
The world actually idolizes Adam, if people outside the USA could vote, Adam would have won. Tasteless singers are only popular in the USA.
Having said that. No Boundaries was clearly meant for Adam to sing it, after he performed it on idol, you could see how moved and proud was Kara. When Kris performed it, she only said "I hope people don't judge you based on this song".
And there is always a peak of sales for the idol winner on itunes and charts after the show is over, it's the buzz that keeps the winner ahead. Let's see how they both do with their albums and then we will be able to measure their success. BTW, Adam has the #2 album on iTunes right now, with all of his idol performances.
People…I don't even watch this show. Sober karaoke doesn't appeal to me at all. My girlfriend, however, watches this crap all the time. It took me a two second glance at the screen to tell you why the one dude won over the other.. The simple fact of the matter is that the runner-up guy is marketable WITHOUT being the winner, while the guy who won the competition would fade into obscurity so fast it would make your head spin UNLESS he was the winner. All it has to do with is how they can maximize potential revenues off the two guys. The final outcome of the competition has NOTHING to do with anything else.
Heyy,. According to the voters kris was better but truely ADAM rocked and should have won………….adam should have taken home the title 'idol' ….kris might have won the competion but adam lambert won a million hearts………I love u from all my heart adam keep going….and if u are reading this i am hira and i am your biggest fan since THE BEGINNING till FOREVER!!!!
Honestly, it really has nothing to do with religion or anything of that matter. I find it side splitting hilliarious how SO many people want to talk about how "Kris knew in his christian heart" Seriously? I mean that's a little stupid. Adam was awesome! I can't deny that! Tracks of My Tears or Mad World was something that couldn't be done by anyone else (like that) But Kris Allen played a rap song on his guitar with no other instruments at one of the final rounds. That alone takes huge balls! Not to mention he did it well! I say, let the boy have his moment. Just because Kris won and Adam didn't doesn't mean that Kris will be all over the radio in a few months and we'll never hear from Adam again. They'll both make albums and we'll all go out and illegally download them anyway.
ADAM ROCKS!!! I don't know why Kris Allen won.. Maybe these are mere sympathy votes because just a commoner…
