Here’s the video premiere for “When I Grow Up” from the Pussycat Dolls‘, which is their first single from their upcoming album Doll Domination.

Britney Spears was set to make a cameo appearance in the video, but from the looks of it, it looks like she was cut from the final video.

Here’s an AMAZING new remix of Britney Spears‘ new song Break The Ice. Remixed by the one and only Soul Seekerz. This is easily my favorite remix of 2008 so far.

“Break the Ice” is a song written by Nate “Danja” Hills, Marcella “Ms. Lago” Araica, Keri Hilson and James Washington, and recorded by American singer Britney Spears. It was produced by Danja for Spears’ fifth studio album Blackout (2007).

You may have heard about Heidi Montag’s duet with Britney Spears. Well, all is not always as it seems, especially when the “reality” stars of The Hills are involved!

“Heidi and Spencer got their hands on an old demo recording of Britney’s that never made it onto any of her albums,” an insider reveals. “They’ve been working with a lot of producers on Heidi’s new album and one of them gave them the track. They decided to turn it into a duet instead of having Heidi re-record the song with just her vocals because they knew they’d get more press this way.”Yes, both stars appear on a new track, but Britney did not authorize the song’s release and she had no idea about it until Montag leaked it.

A Cursive Memory - Everything

Southern California-based quartet A Cursive Memory is comprised of teenage rockers Mark Borston-Smith (bass, keyboards, vocals), Shaun Profeta (drums, percussion, vocals), Colin Baylen (guitar), and Brian Bolen (guitar and vocals).

Their music combines subtle piano leads, churning guitars, twisting 80’s-style keyboards and huge, anthemic choruses for a sound that recalls influences as varied as All-American Rejects, The Killers and The Beach Boys.

You can check out their Myspace here. This video is one of my favorites, and it really caught my eye when it premiered on TRL today. It features them running around singing their song “Everything” behind and around celebrities (Britney, Paris, etc). Check it out if you’re up for a laugh/good music.

Critical response to “Break the Ice” has been positive. Much like “Gimme More” and “Piece of Me“, “Break the Ice” received rave reviews from music critics and this song is highly recommended.

Kelefa Sanneh of The New York Times found the track “nearly as good” describing it as a “rave-inspired flirtation.” All Music Guide’s Stephen Thomas Erlewine referred to the song as a “stuttering electro-clip.” Darryl Sterdan noted in Canadian-based website Jamcanoe.ca: “…she [Spears] brought a choir and one of Madonna’s old synth-pop leftovers with her.

Tom Ewing of Pitchfork Media concluded that the track is the “most individual of Britney records” and that “her constant surrender of identity from track to track comes over as a tactic to make individual songs more disorienting and thrilling.
