Official Girl is Cassie’s official first single off her upcoming second CD.

Cassie’s second studio album, is scheduled for release in September 2008. The album features production by Seven, Mario Winans, Bryan-Michael Cox, Eric Hudson, Sean C and LV, Ryan Leslie, and Danja.

Cassie has said that she had “[grown] up a lot” since her first album, and that “you can hear my vocals better this time around. There’s real emotion and a much realer connection with my fans.” She also said the album’s first single would be “a club record” and “fun and danceable”. The album includes credits from Ryan Leslie, Swizz Beatz, Bryan Michael Cox, Rodney Jerkins, and Kanye West.

Is It You? is Cassie’s first single for her untitled sophomore album. It is also featured in the Step Up 2 the Streets Soundtrack.

A music video for the song was released on the Step Up 2 the Streets myspace on February 1, 2008. In the music video, Ryan Leslie begins with an introduction on the piano. Cassie then begins singing while standing next the piano. Throughout the video, there are clips from the movie Step Up 2 the Streets.

Step Up 2 the Streets is the 2008 sequel to the 2006 hit Step Up. The movie features the directorial debut of award-winning up-and-comer Jon M.
