“Battlefield“ is the lead single from Grammy-nominated American Pop artist Jordin Sparks‘ sophomore studio album, which is due July 14, 2009.

The mid-tempo R&B track was written and produced by Grammy nominated producer/songwriter and One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder, whose long list of accolades includes hits for fellow American Idol Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé, Leona Lewis, Timbaland, Jennifer Hudson and Rihanna.

Wayne Wilkins, Louis Biancaniello and Sam Watters also co-wrote the song.

Jordin is set to perform “Battlefield” on American Idol Top 3 Result Show on May 13, 2009.
