So I’ve decided to post a few singles that will be blowing up the radios very soon, if it’s not perfect at all the first one I started with would be Radio by Flo-Rida. I’m going to introduce some of them that need introductions and others obviously don’t need to be introduced as they’re regulars here at The Hype Factor.

Flo-RidaFlo-Rida (IPA: [ˡfloːˌraɪdɘ]) (pronounced flow-ry-duh, the African-American Vernacular English pronunciation of “flow rider”) (born December 16, 1979 as Tramar Dillard in Opa-Locka, Florida) is an African American rapper. He chose the name “Flo-Rida” because he is from Florida and in reference to his rap styles. He made his mainstream debut in the song “Bitch I’m from Dade County” on DJ Khaled’s album We the Best. He started appearing in mixtapes in 2006, and began affiliating himself with other known Florida rappers such as Rick Ross and Trick Daddy. In his earlier days, he has been known to shout out his phone number, much like artists like Mike Jones. Way before We the Best, Flo-Rida has released a street single entitled “Birthday“, featuring Rick Ross. He then released a club based single entitled “Low” featuring T-Pain which hit #1 as the most downloaded song on iTunes in November 2007, as well as reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Low is also accompaning the new movie to accompany it’s style “Step Up 2: the Streets”.

Mail on Sunday is the debut album from rapper Flo-Rida, set to be released on March 18, 2008, according to Flo-Rida’s MySpace.

T-PainHailing from the Atlanta suburb of Decatur is underground MC, A.K. Better known as a member of the successful local rap group, Swat Team, A.K. is going the solo route with his new single, Drop It Down Low. Some might be thinking, ”Oh great, another T-Pain guest appearance.” However, once you press play you’ll be surprised to hear that the “feature” is just producer NB‘s sample of Teddy Pain’s Cyclone collabo with Baby Bash. While A.K.’s lyrics are nothing unheard of for a booty jam and NB’s beat sounds very similar to Lil’ Jon‘s Cyclone, anyone who titles their upcoming debut Critically Acclaimed clearly has our attention.

Rick RossSome may need an introduction to Rick Ross while others have been bumping him since before Hustlin. William Roberts (born January 21, 1977 in Carol City, Florida) better known by his stage name Rick Ross (alternate form Rick Ro$$), is an American rapper of Haitian descent. Ross’ moniker is borrowed from drug trafficker “Freeway” Ricky Ross, who ran one of the largest cocaine distribution networks in the country during the 1980s and early ’90s. He signed with Slip-N-Slide, which as of 2007, is distributed under Def Jam Records. Port of Miami, Ross’ debut album, was released on August 8, 2006, with the lead single “Hustlin’” peaking at #7 on the hip-hop chart and #54 on the Billboard Hot 100. A remix of the single featuring Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, & also achieved some popularity in digital downloads. Port of Miami is certified gold by the RIAA.

Trilla is the second studio album (third album overall) by Miami rapper Rick Ross. The album was originally scheduled to be released December 18, 2007 but has been pushed back to March 11, 2008. The first single was “Speedin’” featuring R&B singer R. Kelly. “Street Money” featuring Flo-Rida was thought to be the second single but was then released as street single. The second single is now said to be “The Boss”. The song features T-Pain.
