Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes feat. TLC & Missy Elliott – Let’s Just Do It

Let’s Just Do It” is the second solo single by The late rapper, singer and songwriter, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and it is the lead single from her first posthumous album “Eye Legacy“. It was written by Lisa Lopes and produced by Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, Antonio “LA” Reid, & Mark Pitts. The song features members of TLC T-Boz and Chilli, along with Missy Elliott.

The song was originally recorded in 1997 for possible inclusion in the 1999 multi-platinum FanMail or Lopes’ solo debut. The song was not included with FanMail as it did not fit the album’s sound, and was not included in Lopes’ solo debut because Lopes decided to go in a different sound than that of Let’s Just Do It. When the idea for Eye Legacy was brought about, Let’s Just Do It came to mind. In 2008, Missy Elliott, and Chilli (Lopes’ TLC bandmate) recorded vocals on the song, as the track was given a new beat.

As of November 2008, the song has been released to several radio stations around the United States as it continues to pick up spins. If airplay increases by a large enough margin, a music video may be in the works.
