“Fireflies” Lyrics [4]
Song by Martin Garrix, U2:
Verse 1
I can feel, I can know
I can feel the undertone
I can hear the river flow
Laughing at us as we go
The present and the vanishing
The divine in everything
In the air, your summer dress
Has left me floatingPre-Chorus
But I can never keep a secret
Everything is always known
Nothing here is ever hidden
Cause everything is always shown
I can never keep a secret
I don’t know why I’d even try
We’re looking through a sky of mirrors
To see ourselves tonightChorus
Cause you and I are fireflies
More for the summer skies
The light that’s in each other eyes
Fireflies
You and I are fireflies
Forgetting that the sun will rise
I met you in the air tonight
FirefliesDrop
Fireflies
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Fireflies
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, oohVerse 2
We can hurt or we can mend
Terrorize or transcend
No beginning, and no end
Yeah, we’ll survive
Like falling angels bound to earth
Voices sing for all they’re worth
All I need is a pen that works
But it’s a story without words
Of how the night will set us free
Take us where we need to be
Your waking eyes are all I need
To feel alivePre-Chorus
But I can never keep a secret
Everything is always known
Nothing here is ever hidden
Cause everything is always shown
I can never keep a secret
I don’t know why I’d even try
We’re looking through a sky of mirrors
To see ourselves tonightChorus
Cause you and I are fireflies
More for the summer skies
The light that’s in each other eyes
Fireflies
You and I are fireflies
Forgetting that the sun will rise
I met you in the air tonight
FirefliesDrop
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Fireflies
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, oohOutro
We can hurt or we can mend
Terrorize or transcend
No beginning, and no end
Yeah, you’re alive
