Avril Lavigne loves her fans. The sassy, newly single singer will be offering a free download of her new song, “What the Hell,” for 48 hours on her Facebook page starting January 1, 2011. The free download will follow the broadcast debut of the single on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

Fans can go to here and click “Like” in order to access the free download after midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Although not sure how well the Pop/Rock sound will be perceived, but I can definitely tell you that it is one hell of a hook that will have you singing endlessly – almost as much as Girlfriend had you on repeat.

Rihanna said goodbye to 2010 at PURE in Sin City on New Year’s Eve.

The red-haired starlet, dressed in a body-hugging striped dress, hosted a paid gig at the Las Vegas PURE Nightclub, counting down to 2011 with thousands of guests who paid hundreds of dollars to party with the pop princess.

RiRi’s girlfriends were by her side as the newly single star raised a toast to the future.

Lil’ Wayne was one of the special guest performers for Carson Daly‘s New Years Eve 2011 show.

The first performance was of his brand new single from Tha Carter IV: “6 Foot 7 Foot” where he was accompanied by Cory Gunz.

He also later performed his single “Right Above It“.

Drake performs “Show Me a Good Time” and “Fancy” Live on New Years Eve 2011

Drake was one of the special guest performers on Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest he performed his single “Fancy” that features an all new verse that you can now add to your iPod/music player.

Along with his impressive new verses, which had us all dazed and confused thinking it could be such a great freestyle. I for one knew I looked puzzled at the screen wondering why the words weren’t clicking in my head to the ones I knew featured on his album.

He also performed “Show Me a Good Time“, another fan favorite.
