“Rockstar 101” is the fourth U.S. single from Barbadian R&B singer, Rihanna‘s fourth studio album Rated R. The track features the former lead guitarist of the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, Slash. The video was directed by Melina, who also directed Rihanna’s music video Hard. The video includes dark, edgy visuals and a killer impersonation of Slash.
The song was performed on American Idol on April 7, 2010. The music video premiered in late May 2010 on VEVO.

It will officially impact both Mainstream and Rhythmic radio on June 1, 2010. The song will be used for the new CW show Nikita. The show will debut in the fall of 2010.
