Lyrics for Yes
Song by Steven Malcolm, for King & Country, KB

[Intro: KB, for KING & COUNTRY]

(Thank God you said
Thank God you said)
You said

[Pre-Chorus: KB]

Yes, to rescue me
Re-create me, yeah
Yes to “I don’t wanna be here no more, come save me” (You save)
Yes, to free me (You free me)
From what wrecks me (from what wrecks me)
Yes to “I don’t wanna be here no more, come get me”

[Chorus: for KING & COUNTRY]

Thank God You said, “yes” (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
You saw my SOS (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
You took the pressure off my chest (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
Thank God, You said
Thank God, You said, “yes, yes, yes”

[Verse 1: Steven Malcolm]

Thank God You said “yes” whеn I was in my mess
Praise Yah who can take thе shame and regret, yeah
Came to pay a debt, took an L, then laid to rest
Papa moved that rolling stone
Now lo and behold, You raised from death
Seek and You’ll find
You stay the same through the seasons and times
You keep me in line, peace in my mind
I know that You there, I’m seeing the signs
I look to the hills, I’m seeing divine
I know that You guide me, I’m seeing just fine
These are the times, life took a toll without You
Ain’t no reason, it gave me a reason to rhyme

[Pre-Chorus: KB]

Yes, to rescue me
Re-create me (recreate)
Yes to “I don’t wanna be here no more, come save me” (come save me)
Yes, to free me (yes, to free me)
From what wrecks me (from what wrecks me)
Yes to “I don’t wanna be here no more, come get me”

[Chorus: for KING & COUNTRY]

Thank God You said, “yes” (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
You saw my SOS (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
(You saw my SOS)
You took the pressure off my chest (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
Thank God, You said
Thank God, You said, “yes, yes, yes”

[Verse 2: Steven Malcolm]

Said yes to my pain and hurt
Yes to the freedom in Jesus who took me and molded me out of that dirt, yeah
No father on earth, I looked to the sky
And I see myself in His work, yeah
Told me I don’t have to be perfect
All I had to do was search, yeah
Start walking in my worth, yeah
I grew up a screw-up
But grew up and knew
Once I became alive
I need You in my life
If I wanna be different and break the decline and provide
All glory to God
Yes to the broken and made new
Yes to my life, I give to (You)
(Thank God You said yes)

[Pre-Chorus: KB]

Yes, to rescue me
Re-create me (yeah)
Yes to “I don’t wanna be here no more, come save me” (You save)
Yes, to free me (yes, to free me)
From what wrecks me (from what wrecks me)
Yes to “I don’t wanna be here no more, come get me”

[Chorus: for KING & COUNTRY]

Thank God You said, “yes” (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
You saw my SOS (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
You took the pressure off my chest (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
Thank God, You said
Thank God, You said (yes, yes, yes)
Yes, You saw my SOS (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
(You saw my SOS)
You took the pressure off my chest (oh oh oh-oh-oh)
(Pressure off my chest)
Thank God, You said
Thank God, You said, “yes, yes, yes”
