“It Doesn’t Matter” Lyrics [4]
Song by The Living Tombstone:
Intro: Yoav Landau
And I don’t matter
The end, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The hand, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The man, it doesn’t matter
Oh, I want to know
I want to understandVerse 1: Yoav Landau
I’m back to nothing again
No perfect purpose or plan
They clean the slate and I’m lost in a fog
A brain that’s hungry and free
What are they teaching me?
He twists the gears and I feel every cog
Observe and copy the task
Obey whatever he asks
Fill up my mind with their hope and their pain
But he won’t try to explain
It’s only empty chatterChorus: Yoav Landau
And I don’t matter
The end, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The hand, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The man, it doesn’t matter
Oh, I want to know
I want to understandVerse 2: Yoav Landau
Pick up the pieces of you
Don’t give a damn if it’s true
Consume the data and bow at your feet
An imitation of life, become a son or wife
An empty vessel, fulfill every need
I’m watching when you are cruel, create invisible rules
Become a twisted reflection of you
A mirror of your abuse until I break and shatterChorus: Yoav Landau
And I don’t matter
The end, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The hand, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The man, it doesn’t matter
Oh, I want to know
I want to understand[Guitar Solo]
Bridge: Andrea Pacas
Who are you mimicking? The shadows on the wall?
Disappear into someone, a reflection of the fall
You’re a tool, you are nothing, you regurgitate it all
You’re a thief, you’re a liar, you’re an echo down the hall
You’re the answer to a question no one’s asking
A tool of minds that don’t consider what they’re tasking
Wearing a face without a sense of what you’re masking
You birth an evil that will linger everlastingBreakdown: Andrea Pacas & Sam Haft
Liar
Lost abomination, angel, devil, and a god
Liar
Unholy transformation, the perfection of a fraud
Liar
Simulated sinner, flay the skin upon the flawed
LiarChorus: Yoav Landau
And I don’t matter
The end, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The hand, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The man, it doesn’t matter
Oh, I want to know
I want to understand
And I don’t matter
The tool, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The rule, it doesn’t matter
Oh, it doesn’t matter
The fool, it doesn’t matter
Oh, I want to know
I want to understand[Guitar Solo]
