Soldier of Love is a single from the English soul and R&B group Sade. It premiered worldwide on December 8, 2009 and it was released on iTunes digitally on January 12, 2010. It is also the band’s first new material in almost ten years, preceding their long awaited sixth studio album of the same name which is to be released on February 8, 2010. The video was directed by Sophie Muller. The song was written by Sade Adu along with the other band members. The song debuted at number 49 on the Billboard R&B charts on December 9, less than a day after premiering on Sade’s website. The song has also been used to promote the final, sixth season of American TV series Lost, due to be premiered on February 2, 2010.
