“The Time (Dirty Bit)” is the first, and is the lead single from American pop and experimental hip-hop music group The Black Eyed Peas‘ sixth studio album, The Beginning.

The “The Time” music video was shot in Los Angeles by director Rich Lee – before BEP left on their South American tour.

The chorus of “The Time (Dirty Bit)” samples “(I’ve Had) Time Of My Life”, originally performed by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes in the 1987 film Dirty Dancing.
