“Brokenhearted” is a song by pop music duo Karmin, off their debut album Hello. The song was released as the first single off Hello. It was written by Heidemann and Noonan, with Claude Kelly, Emily Wright, Henry Walter, John Hill and Richard Head, and produced by Cirkut. The song is about a lover who begs her man not to “leave [her] broken hearted tonight.”

The single debuted at number 84 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, then jumped to number 60 the next week and reached number 52 in it’s third week on the charts. On it’s fourth week it reached to number 33. For the whole month of March through April 2, 2012, the single was discounted and made available for 69 cents on iTunes.

“Brokenhearted” received generally positive reviews from critics who commented on Heidemann’s vocal prowess and the productions energetic vibe. The Huffington Post noted that despite its somber title, it “certainly has a lot of pep.”

The track premiered and was released in early February 2012.
