“Cake by the Ocean” is the debut music video and lead single by American band DNCE, released digitally on September 18, 2015 and to radio on January 22, 2016, through Republic Records. It serves as the lead single from their debut EP Swaay.
The lyric video premiered in late September 2015, via DNCE’s official YouTube VEVO channel on September 29th 2015. With the official Music Video premiering on October 16th 2015.
The music video was directed by Black Coffee & Gigi Hadid with producer Andrew Lerios.
“Cake by the Ocean” was written by Joe Jonas, Justin Tranter and the Swedish duo Mattman & Robin, who also produced the song.
