“Super Bass” is the fifth single, and is a music video from Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj‘s debut studio album, Pink Friday.

The music video was directed by Sanaa Hamri and premiered on Nicki Minaj’s VEVO YouTube page in early May 2011.

It was originally a bonus track on the deluxe edition of Pink Friday, and was released to radio on April 5, 2011.

In an interview with American radio station 102.7 KIIS FM, Minaj indicated that Taylor Swift’s unsolicited promotion of the song influenced the decision to release it as a single.
