Following “Perfect Illusion” and “Million Reasons” as singles from Gaga’s fifth album Joanne (2016), “The Cure” was released as a single on April 16, 2017, after her live debut performance of the song at the Coachella music festival where she was a main headliner. It has reached the top 10 of the record charts in Australia, France, Hungary, Scotland, Slovakia and Spain as well as the top 20 in Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Lebanon and Latvia.
