“Over” is the first single from Canadian rapper Drake‘s debut album Thank Me Later. The video was directed by Anthony Mandler. The single was released to iTunes for digital download on March 8, 2010. For the week of March 27, 2010, it was named the Billboard Hot 100’s Hot Shot debut, starting at 35 on this chart, and reached number 17 so far. Drake shot the video on March 12, 2010 in Los Angeles.

The director Anthony Mandler, said about the video: “I can tell you that it’s not gonna be what you expect. Drake and I were very conscious about trying to push the limits and trying to push things forward. He came to me because he wanted to throw away the conventions of a medium, and take chances and be daring and take certain themes that are relevant to him and try to visualize them in not the obvious way”.
