Sugar is the second single from Flo Rida‘s sophomore album R.O.O.T.S. It features R&B singer Wynter Gordon. The single was released on March 17, 2009 as a digital download. The song’s chorus samples the European electronic music group Eiffel 65‘s #1 hit dance-pop song “Blue (Da Ba Dee)“.

The single reached #2 on iTunes top songs list, and #5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, thanks to its digital downloads. It also reached #9 on the U.S. Pop 100. The single is Flo Rida’s fourth career U.S. top ten, the second from the album R.O.O.T.S. The single has also reached the top ten in Canada, and on Billboard’s “Hot Rap Tracks” and Pop 100. The song is to be released on the 25th May 2009, in the U.K.

The video was filmed on April 10, 2009 on South Beach. The video shows a female doctor putting Flo Rida to sleep, causing him to fantasize about a girl he likes, who ended up disappearing. In the end, Flo Rida wakes up from treatment and ends up being seduced by the female doctor.
